NEURO NEWS
Welcome to Brain Health Global. The inspiration behind this online site is the significant shift we have seen around the world in acknowledging the importance of brain health. Brain health is leading the way into the future of overall health. The brain, our greatest asset, is front and center. This site is intended to provide comfort to those affected by brain and neuro-related health issues, to those seeking to improve their overall health and to those simply interested in this emerging area of health concern.
We are now living in a global society of openness, sharing and interdependence. Through television, print media and online communities we hear more stories of struggles and triumphs than ever before. Our interests have evolved from curing a specific disease, such as cancer, to nutritional health, to fitness awareness and recently to the influence of brain health and neurologic functioning as significant to our well-being. Disorders effecting brain health include stress related to work and home life; depression; autism; bipolar disorder; Parkinson's disease; Multiple Sclerosis; brain tumors (pediatric and adult); dementia (Alzheimer's disease); ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease); stroke; migraines; head trauma from sports injuries; viruses such as COVID-19 and much more. Strong interest in keeping our brain healthy through diet and exercise is also a trend.

At present estimating the numbers and cost of brain-related disorders is a significant challenge. It is likely that national (US) and worldwide numbers are vastly under-reported, leaving large gaps in establishing plans and protocols to address these issues for the future. This points to the need for
inter-disciplinary efforts, across business, medical, academic, government research entities, NGOs, and humanitarian groups. The task is immense. It is hoped that projects such as this site will contribute to our shared, much-needed, evolving knowledge.

Below you will find links to some of the most important consumer reports and academic papers published this past year addressing brain health. We hope you will find the information not only accessible and understandable, but also relevant to your particular interests in brain wellness.
